The painting was created in August 2019 in Stuttgart/Germany. The surreal nature of a floating landscape and mythical creatures like serpentine cats and the elephant was a composition that developed whilst painting. As mentioned before, I do not plan, pre-sketch or conceptualise any painting in advance. I paint straight onto the canvas, starting with one element and adding others one by one. The painting usually develops naturally and rather spontaneously.
